2008 Cabernet Sauvignon
Tasting notes
The 2008 vintage was defined by balanced growing conditions and a dry, cool fall that allowed ripening to progress steadily and gracefully. The result is a wine built on structure and nuance. Nearly two years in French oak shape the aromatics, leading with elegant notes of baking spice and hazelnut. Beneath the oak influence, classic red cherry and raspberry dominate the fruit profile. A subtle linear note of minerality directs the palate, complementing the influence of lightly toasted French barrels without overshadowing the fruit. Lingering ripe skin tannins are drawn out by the wine’s medium acidity, creating tension and length on the finish.
