2019 The Fog - Nebbiolo Reserve
Breaux's 2019 'ππ‘ππ
π¨π ' πππππ’π¨π₯π¨πππ¬ππ«π―πwon a spot in the 2024 VA Governor's Case! The name of this vintage is derived from the very 'foggy' part of Breaux Vineyards property that allows our Nebbiolo grapes, not often grown outside of Italy, to flourish right here in Loudoun County. Nebbiolo is known to grow in the higer elevations where the fog nestles in, hence the name, " The Fog".
Using 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown on-site, we hand harvested and laid these grapes to dry for several weeks, which increased their brix and concentrated the flavors. The end result is a wine that is impressively smooth.
"Tasting Notes: Rich aromas of licorice, cassis, and dried tobacco echo on the palate and compliment flavors of ripe fig, clove, raisins, dried cherry, and truffle. The tannins, acidity and alcohol are well integrated, providing balance."
