2014 Cabernet Sauvignon
85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Petit Verdot
Highly aromatic, this mature Cabernet Sauvignon immediately draws you in with dense notes of blueberry and blackberry jam. An intriguing note of mulberry develops throughout the length of the wine, adding complexity to the dark fruit profile.
On the palate, warmth, reminiscent of toasted cinnamon and graham cracker, complements the ripe fruit. A round, plush mid-palate fills out the wine, further emphasizing its rich, jammy character. A gentle note of green bell pepper remains, reminding you that you are drinking Cabernet Sauvignon while providing a subtle freshness that has carried through more than a decade in bottle.
The press and free-run portions were aged separately before being blended back together after barrel aging. Approximately 30% new French oak was used, adding depth, structure, and finesse. With time in bottle, the oak has integrated beautifully, contributing notes of toasted brown sugar that complement the wine’s natural alcohol and ripe fruit. This wine was aged 18 months in oak.
Drinking beautifully now, this Cabernet Sauvignon still has the acidity and palate weight to develop further with additional bottle age.

Previous Notes...
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon is garnet in color. The nose is redolent of plum, black cherry, sweet baking spice and smoky oak. The wine is full bodied with lots of plum and bramble on the palate. There is a sweetness and richness on the mid-palate with a little pepper and black olive on the finish. The tannins are nice and chewy but are integrated well into the wine. They linger on the finish.
