A Mardi Gras tradition!

Enjoy a one-of-a-kind King Cake, handmade and baked daily at Gambino's bakery in Louisiana, then shipped to us at Breaux Vineyards so you can acelebrate Mardi Gras without breaking tradition! The sweet, Danish dough is mixed with delectable cinnamon swirls and topped with Gambino's icing, decorated with sugar crystals in the the colors of Mardi Gras, making for a festive and delicious cake.

You can pick yours up at Breaux Vineyards between 2/9 and 2/12.. Are you joining us for our Samedi Gras Celebration on 2/14? You can pre-reserve your cake - just let us know in the comments what day you will be picking up. Our hospitaltiy team will also follow up to insure pick up dates so you have a fresh cake! Each cake serves up to 16 people and comes in a decorative box for easy transport home.

Cakes will each come with a baby figurine. But WHY? 

When a king cake is served at a Mardi Gras celebration,everyone wants to know who was served the slice with the baby—but what does it mean if you find one? Tradition dictates that finding the baby in your cake symbolizes luck and prosperity, and the finder becomes the "king" or "queen" of the evening. The person who hosts the Mardi Gras party buys or makes the king cake, and since whoever finds the baby is said to be prosperous in the coming year, they take on the responsibility of providing the king cake for the next year. Of course, as the host, you have the option to forgo the king cake tradition the next year—but what's the fun in that?v
